[Summary of Plan] (Excerpted from the regional greening plan)

Using the endangered species of Japanese purple grass (Murasaki) as a symbol, the “Beautiful Town” movement in which white, yellow, blue, and purple flowers bloom. Friends (members) who are interested in cultivating purple roots and dyeing gather together to assemble a greenhouse at the Higashihongo Satoyama Experience Farm, grow seasonal flower seedlings such as white, blue and purple, and provide them to flower beds in the town. In particular, the Higashihongo Daiichi housing complex Greenery Association, Higashihongo Daini housing complex and Stanley Hills Neighborhood Association, Neighborhood Association will work to create flower beds and greenery. In detached houses, members plant flowers in containers and pots throughout the four seasons. The bare concrete and steel frames around the school are greened and covered with greenery, and members plant flower seedlings and maintain the flowerbed. Higashihongo's largest festival, the Higahongo Festival, will hold an indigo dyeing and purple root dyeing experience class, and publicize the beautiful town (purple town) widely.
