In recent years, various activities utilizing Ookagawa have become active in this area. In addition, the Neighborhood Associations has been in contact with the Okagawa River for many years to hold the Ookagawa Cherry Blossom Festival. Therefore, the association focused on greening the public space facing Okagawa as a highly effective place where the awareness of greening spreads throughout the region. Since there is a base for water activities in the area along the Okagawa River, it is important to green the space facing the Ookagawa River in order to promote the presence of greenery in the area. We are thinking of spreading the significance of further greening by expanding the scope of maintenance from the public space called Okagawa to private areas for the second and third years. Furthermore, by placing greenery in existing buildings that contribute to greening, we aim to develop greening with an area-wide expansion in the vertical direction, aiming to produce visual effects.
