Until now, when the family register notification was submitted to a place other than the domicile, the municipalities that received the notification had mailed the notification to the permanent address, but from March 1, 2024, it was digitized and the national system. Data will be sent and received via the system.
Since mid-March, the situation in which country data cannot be received in Kohoku Ward, Yokohama City, has improved to a certain extent, but even now it takes longer than usual before the content of family register's report is reflected in family register.

Wide-area issuance of family register Certificates (updated on March 11, 2024)
From March 1, 2024, it is now possible to request a family register certificate (wide-area grant) at municipal offices other than your permanent address, but due to a national system failure, a permanent domicile certificate outside Yokohama City was difficult to issue a family register certificate. The national system has been restored on March 11, and has improved to a certain extent in Motoichi.
However, some certificates may take some time to issue them. Therefore, Reception hours may change depending on the delivery date at a later date or congestion at the counter.

Overview
From March 1, 2024, a law (Law No. 17 of 2019) amending a part of the Family Registration Law will be enforced, and the following can be done.

Notice
According to the notification from the government, for the time being, it is necessary to confirm with the municipality of your permanent address when issuing Therefore, it may take a long time to issue, and it may be handed over later. In this case, please note that the person requested needs to come to the counter again.

- Certificate of all matters of family register
- Certificate of all matters of removal, partial copy of nullified family register, copy of remodeled original family register

Identification documents for the person coming to the counter
Please bring a certificate with a face photo issued by a public office, such as a driver's license, passport, my number card, etc. within the validity period, to the counter.
※Due to strict identification, identity verification documents such as health insurance cards and pension notebooks cannot be requested.
Precautions
- There are some certificates that can only be handled at your permanent address, such as some family register and expulsion.
- You cannot request a certificate of personal matters or a certificate of partial matters.
- Please request the family register's tag and family register certificates (single certificate, ID card, etc.) from the municipality where you live as before.
