The first area of Koshiba Nature Park (Kanazawa Ward), which is under construction on the site of the former Koshiba Oil Storage Facility, will open at 10:00 am on Sunday, September 24, 2023. This is the first large-scale park to be open to citizens among the U.S. military facilities that were decided to return in 2004, such as the former Kami-Seya Communication Facility. (Approximately 1.5 ha of the first phase area in July 2021 was pre-opened.) In addition, the park aims to allow all children to play together, regardless of disability.
