Yokohama City is promoting efforts to convert phosphorus recovered from sewage sludge as a raw material for safe fertilizers, and together with Tsukishima JFE Aqua Solutions Co., Ltd. (B-DASH Project) of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) has implemented a demonstration project on technology to efficiently collect phosphorus from sewage sludge as a safe fertilizer raw material. With the completion of a phosphorus collection facility in Hokubu Sludge Treatment Plant has been completed, a ceremony will be held.
