On Tuesday, June 6, 2023, "Altair" (male, 3 years old) from Malayan Tapir will visit Yokohama Zoo from Preservation and Research Center, City of Yokohama. This move is in line with the Malayan Tapir management plan of the Biodiversity Committee of the Japanese Association of Zoos and Aquariums Biodiversity Committee.
In the future, we will work on exhibitions and breeding while carefully observing the condition of "Altair".
About release, we will tell on homepage of Yokohama zoo.
