Katabira River

There is a legend that kappa lived in Katabira River.
There was a flood in Tempo 3 (1832), and three parent and child kappa (near from Imajuku-cho to Tsurugamine), three parent and child kappa who had been mischievous with villagers for a long time appeared and ate in the field. Was. It was found by a villager, and only his father Kappa was caught and attached to a mulberry tree.
The villager Sakubei, worried about Kappa that night and went to see it, and his mother Kappa, his child, Kappa, were working hard to escape his father Kappa. Sakubei saw her appearance and became fussy and gently missed it.
The next night, someone is hitting the door of Sakubei's house. When you open the door, how is it yesterday's kappa? Kappa left a yellow plate to call fortune to thank him for his help. Sakubei seems to have cherished this dish as a heirloom.
In addition, the place name "Koshippa" in connection with this kappa means that it comes from child kappa and mother and child (boshi) kappa.
