About Shinmei Tando Waterfall
The waterfall in the Shinmei Tando district of Miho-cho has been worshiped near the irrigation water intake weir built in the Umeda River, hoping that the water essential for rice cultivation is endless.
In the Edo period, Shimizu springs out of the mountain behind, and the area where the weir was turned into a waterfall and flowed into the river, so it seems to have been called "Otaki-sama".
Both weirs and waterways were turned into concrete in the early Showa era, but after that, a large amount of water was drained and moistened the fields for a long time.
At present, the weir has finished its role, and the statue of Fudo Myo is left.
