About the Nenbutsu Bridge on the Onda River

The current Oyama Bridge was called "Nenbutsu Bridge" before the 1965's.
In the Muromachi period, the seal (1435-1519, from Musashi Kunikubo Musashi (currently Miho-cho, Midori-ku)), who served as a priest at Kango-ji Temple (677-9 Oyamacho, Midori-ku) during the Muromachi period, chanted a memorial Buddha and alms. It is said that the beginning of Tsuchihashi was built over the Onda River for people to travel.
Infusion Hoin left many books and trained apprentices at Kangoji Temple. It is said that he especially liked reading, and when riding a small cow, he attached a writing table on the saddle, a sutra on the corner, chanting the sutras and humming poems.
