　①Pregnant women who have reported pregnancy after February 1, 2023

　②Careers of newborns born after April 1, 2023

Those who have been transferred to Yokohama City will not be able to receive it in Yokohama City if they have received a childbirth support gift (during pregnancy) or a child care support gift (after childbirth) at the local government before moving in.

Example: If you move into Yokohama during pregnancy after notification of pregnancy at the local government before moving in and receiving childbirth support money.

→In Yokohama, you will not be able to receive support for childbirth. It is possible to receive child care support money after giving birth.

Birth support gifts and child care support gifts refer to cash, coupons, etc. paid in a business based on the government's "birth and child care support grant business". Please check with the local government before moving in to see if you have received a gift for childbirth support or child care support gift.

• Childbirth support money: 50,000 yen per pregnant woman
• Child care support money: 50,000 yen per newborn baby

※From October 2024, we were going to change from cash payment to gift (electronic coupon), but we will continue cash payment during 2024.

• Childbirth support money: Until the date of birth
• Child care support money: Within 3 months from "Hello baby visit"

You will be notified of your pregnancy at your ward office, Children and Families Support Division, and will guide you on how to apply on the spot.

In the case of "Hello baby visit", I will guide you about the application method.
　Attention: Child care support money is the caregiver who received the interview of "Hello baby visit" can apply.

※You need your mother and child handbook number to apply.
　If you are transferred to Yokohama City, please obtain the Yokohama City Mother and Child Handbook Number at the window of Children and Families Support Division in your ward.
※Even if you have lived in Yokohama in the past and have been transferred to Yokohama again, you will need to obtain a Yokohama City Mother and Child Handbook Number.
※As a general rule, it is accepted by electronic application. The application method is described in the guide.
※After reviewing the application details, we will send you a notification of the results of the examination by mail. After sending the notification, the support money will be transferred to the designated account in order.

・Childbirth support money: ①Those who have reported pregnancy on or after April 1, 2022
　　　　　　　②Those who became pregnant before March 31, 2022 and gave birth on or after April 1, 2022
・Child care support money: ③Those who became pregnant before March 31, 2022 and gave birth on or after April 1, 2022
Of the above persons, those who have been notified of pregnancy by January 31, 2023 and those who have given birth by March 31, 2023 will be mailed individually with information on the application. The application was closed on August 31, 2023.
※Applications cannot be made after March 1, 2024, including those who could not apply within the deadline due to unavoidable circumstances.
　

We will conduct a screening sequentially from the applicant and send a notification of the screening result in about 10 weeks.
Please note that if there are any incomplete application documents, it will take more time to confirm the application details.
It takes about two weeks from the notification of the examination result to the transfer.
If the application is withdrawn before the examination is completed, the application will start again.
