Childbirth support money: In principle, it is not eligible. However, if you submit a pregnancy notification in Japan before leaving Japan, it is expected that you will be eligible for payment.
Child care support money: In principle, children born on or after April 1, 2023 are eligible. After an interview at the time of transfer at the ward office Children and Families Support Division window, you will receive a leaflet for child care support money. However, after the first March 31 after the child reaches the age of one year (March 31, 2024, elementary school student caregivers who have reached the age of one year by March 31, 2025) cannot apply.
・Child born by March 31, 2024: Applications can be made until March 30, 2025
・Child born between April 1, Reiwa 6 and March 31, Reiwa 7: Applications can be made until March 30, 2026
