~ Local people visit the baby's home up to 4 months after birth ~

Congratulations on your birth. When a baby is born, she spends more time at home and around her.
Interactions with local people, which have been little involved, may increase.
It is safe if there are people who watch the baby's growth together in the community.

In Yokohama, the "Hello baby visit member", which is doing various activities in the area, 4 months old.
We visit all families with babies and provide information on child care at the front door.
We support child care.

Let's deepen exchanges with local people through the visit.
Talking with various people may reduce the fatigue, worries, and anxiety of childcare.
If you have any concerns or concerns, visitors can refer you to a ward office public health nurse or midwife from the ward office.

Who are you going to visit?

All families with babies up to 4 months old.

"Hello baby visit member", what kind of person?

From the local welfare officers, children's committees, chief children's committees, and those who have experience in child care support, etc.
About 900 people have been entrusted by the mayor.
We receive training about local child care and carry visitor identification card at the time of visit.

Introducing information on child care and consultation desks for child care.
We provide local-specific information in a timely manner, such as places where children can participate with children and local events.
We provide information on evacuation sites and evacuation shelter in the event of a disaster.

Until the baby is 4 months old, we will contact you from Hello baby visit member.
After giving birth, please submit the “Birth Report Form” attached to the Maternal and Child Health Handbook to the ward office of your ward.
I'll contact the Phone number listed there.
※We may contact you from your own mobile phone or landline phone, not the Phone number of the ward office.
In addition, we may ask you directly. Please submit the "Birth Report Form" as soon as possible.

There is also a "mother and child visits (newborn visits)" by midwives and public health nurses.

We visit all families where the first baby was given birth. Midwives and public health nurses are consulted about measuring the weight of the baby, breastfeeding, other childcare issues, and the health of the mother after childbirth.
