JR commuter pass discount (households receiving Child Raising Allowance)

If you have a Child Raising Allowance, you can purchase a JR commuter pass at a discount of 3%.

Child Raising Allowance recipients and same household members who need a JR commuter pass.
※Commuter tickets other than commuting are not eligible.

Please apply to the Children and Families Support Division of your ward.

１．Please apply for grant of "certificate of specific person qualification".
<Required for application>
(1)Child Raising Allowance Certificates (expiration date)
(2)ID photo of the person receiving the discount
(A photo of the upper body taken within 6 months, 3 cm long x 2.4 cm wide)

２．Please apply for grant of "certificate of purchase of commuter pass ticket for specific person".
<Required for application>
(1)"Certificate of Qualification of Specific Persons" issued in 1 above

※The procedures in 1 and 2 above can be done at the same time.
※The validity period of each certificate
(1)Certificate of Qualification of Specific Persons: 1 year from the date of issue
(2)Certificate of purchase of a commuter pass for a specific person: 6 months from issuance date
(However, the validity period of the certificate of specific person qualification cannot be exceeded.)
※If you purchase a JR commuter pass after the validity period of the certificate of specific person qualification has expired, you will need to apply again.

３．At the JR station counter, present and submit the above certificates 1 and 2 and purchase a commuter pass.
(1)Certificate of Eligibility for Specific Persons (Presentation required)
(2)Certificate of Purchase of Passenger Passenger Tickets (submission required)

For the time being, we will also be able to apply.
Please use the application form (PDF: 166KB) and send it together with a reply envelope. In the case of mail application, please send a copy of the Child Raising Allowance Certificate instead of the original.
For details on procedures such as stamp charges to be attached to the reply envelope, please consult your ward office Children and Families Support Division.
