The purpose of this initiative is to raise awareness and prevent heavy drinking by clearly specifying the amount of alcohol consumed. What is a moderate amount of drinking?

It is said that the amount of alcohol, which is a measure of moderate drinking, is about 20g per day, and women and the elderly, those who have red face due to a small amount of drinking, palpitations, headaches, etc. It is said that the amount is good.

The main types of liquor are equivalent to "1 bottle in beer (500ml)" "1 go of sake (180ml)" and "1 whiskey double cup (60ml)".

Recently, so-called strong can Chuhai, which has an alcohol concentration of 7-9%, is popular, but with an alcohol concentration of 9%, it contains a very large amount of alcohol, about 25.2g in a 350ml can and about 36g in a 500ml can. In the case of a strong system with sweetness or fragrance like juice, it is easy to drink for those who are not good at beer, etc. It is dangerous because it can drink a considerable amount in a short time. The method of calculating the amount of pure alcohol is "quantity (mL) x alcohol concentration (% / 100) x 0.8 = pure alcohol weight".

For example, if the alcohol concentration of 350ml is 9%, it will be 350 (ml) x 9 (%) / 100 x 0.8 = 25.2g. By the way, there are "degree" and "%" as units of alcohol concentration, but both are the same. In the case of sake, many are written as "degree", but please replace it with "%" and calculate it.

12 drinking rules to protect your health

The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare has proposed 12 drinking rules to protect health. This time, I would like to introduce some of them.

○Occasionally, I don't drink too much.
Even if you drink at least a large amount at one time at an event such as a drinking party, it can damage your body, increase the risk of accidents, and increase dependence.

○Slowly with the meal
Drinking or drinking at once when hungry can quickly increase the blood levels of alcohol, causing drunkenness or, in some cases, acute alcohol poisoning. Also, to protect your body, dilute dark liquor and drink to protect your body.

○Let's refrain from sleeping alcohol as much as possible.
Sleeping sake (drinking to help sleep) makes sleep shallower. It is better not to use the power of alcohol to get a healthy and deep sleep.

○Two days a week are rest days
Let's release the liver from alcohol two days a week. By doing so, alcoholism can also be prevented.

○health check-up regularly
Use the physical checkup at work once a year and have regular liver function tests to check if you drink too much. Drinking has also been shown to increase the risk of developing several cancers, including esophagus and colorectal cancers. Let's take cancer screening regularly.
