Introduction
How do you deal with it when you can't sleep? According to a study reported in 2004 (compared to 10 countries), Japanese people sleep at 30.3%, far exceeding the average of 19.4% of the 10 countries. Apparently, Japanese tend to ask alcohol for a means of securing sleep. In fact, however, alcohol can reduce the quality and quantity of sleep, and the habit of sleeping alcohol can cause insomnia.
What is the negative effects of alcohol on sleep?
There are the following reasons why alcohol can adversely affect sleep.
●The urine is produced by the diuretic effect of alcohol, so the toilet is close. It loses moisture from the body and tends to be thirsty.
●The muscle relaxation effect of alcohol makes it easier to scratch. Some people are temporarily unable to breathe because the airway is blocked.
●The insleep action of alcohol breaks in about 3 hours, and then the awakening action of acetaldehyde, which is metabolized, reduces deep sleep and increases shallow sleep.
That's why alcohol reduces the quality and quantity of sleep. It is especially important to note that sleeping alcohol can cause insomnia when depression is hidden. Depression is often accompanied by insomnia, and may develop depression when insomnia continues. People with depression tend to blame themselves for their pessimistic thoughts, and often feel hard to live. Alcohol is known to increase impulsive aggression and the risk of suicide. If so, if you are insomnia and may be depressed, you may better avoid sleeping.
The dangers of sleeping habits
Over the medium to long term, there are the following dangers in the habit of sleeping alcohol. If you keep sleeping alcohol every day, resistance will be formed, and with the same amount of drinking, the hypnotic effect will be weakened, and the amount of drinking will just increase. If you notice it, it may be difficult to control the amount of drinking and you may have alcohol dependence. Sudden heavy drinking every day may result in insomnia, autonomic disorder, convulsions, trembling hands, and vision (insects, etc.) as withdrawal symptoms. Continued heavy drinking for many years increases the likelihood of various health hazards, including liver damage, cerebral atrophy, and various cancers.
Yeah
I'll repeat it. Alcohol reduces the quality and quantity of sleep, and the habit of sleeping alcohol causes insomnia. Avoid drinking to sleep.
