At the 13 Yokohama City Library Building, we are looking for fiscal year appointment staff to assist librarians. Selection and recruitment are performed for each library, but working conditions etc. are the same for all libraries.

1. Job description

  • Lending and returning books at the counter (user response)
  • Organizing bookshelves
  • Moving and sorting of books (10 to 20 kg per box)
  • Repair of books, etc.
  • Input work to the system
  • In addition, work based on instructions of staff
  • In addition, disaster response assistance in the event of a large-scale disaster (basically auxiliary work, only during working hours)

2 Application requirements

Applicable to those who fall under all of the following items (regardless of librarian qualifications)

  • Those who are healthy and can perform the duties shown in 1 above.
  • Person who can perform basic operation of PC (operation of terminal, input of Excel word, etc.)

Appointment period

From April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026

※If a job with the same job content is set up after the expiration of the above appointment period, and if the results of the proof of competence are good, it may be re-appointed regardless of public offering. (up to 4 times)
Working days

5 days a week and designated by the director in advance
※One day off from Monday and Tuesday to Friday.
※Every Saturday and Sunday are working days.

※There is work on holidays.

A: From 8:40 to 15:40 B: From 12:10 to 19:10 Hei: From 10:15 to 17:15

※Change work of Kootohei (including one hour break during each working hour).
Salary

¥195,000 per month
※The amount of compensation is the estimated amount as of November 2024. Subject to change due to system revision etc. In addition, it may be revised during the appointment period.

※End-of-term, diligence allowance, and commuting expenses (equivalent to actual expenses) are paid separately according to Yokohama City standards.

Social insurance Joined employee health insurance (Yokohama City Mutual Aid Association), Employees' Pension Insurance and employment insurance

・Other working conditions are based on related regulations such as the regulations on salary and cost compensation for staff appointed for the fiscal year of Yokohama City.

・Recruitment is conditional, and you will be officially hired when you work in that position in January and perform your job with good performance. If you have less than 15 working days in one month after recruitment, it will be extended until 15 days.

6 How to apply

※When making by hand, please fill in by hand using a black ballpoint pen (no erasable ballpoint pen is allowed).
※Please note that submitted documents will not be returned.
