Yokohama City and Keikyu Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Keikyu Electric Railway") will conduct a demonstration experiment using "Green Slow Mobility (electrically running less than 20 km / h on public roads at less than 20 km / h) in the area west of Keikyu Tomioka Station in Kanazawa-ku, Yokohama City from Friday, November 15th.
In this year's demonstration experiment, which will be the second time since last year, we will add an access route to Keikyu Tomioka Station and carry out on-demand operation that operates according to user requests. Based on this, the operation form will be more tailored to local mobility needs. Through this demonstration experiment, we will consider ways to enhance transportation services in the future, aiming to solve the issues facing the area, such as many steep slopes and some areas where access to bus stops and railway stations is not easy. .
In addition, this demonstration experiment will be conducted as part of an initiative based on the "Cooperation Agreement on Promotion of Community Development along the Keikyu Line (Southern Yokohama City)" concluded by Yokohama City and Keikyu Electric Railway in July last year. is.
