The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has designated June as “Town Development Month” every year from 1983 in order to promote town development utilizing creativity and ingenuity with the active participation of residents. Awards are given to individuals or groups who have achieved achievements.
It has been decided that two groups that have contributed to the promotion of town development in Yokohama City will receive the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism commendation (Town Development Month Town Development Merit Award).
