In the crowdfunding conducted by the Sail Training Ship, Nippon Maru Memorial Foundation in 2022, we received support of approximately 12.5 million yen, far exceeding the target of 3 million yen. The donations collected were used for maintenance and repair of the hull of Sail Training Ship, Nippon Maru and the restoration of radio diaries.
Sail Training Ship, Nippon Maru, a nationally designated important cultural property, will reach 100 years old in 2030. In order to continue carrying out marine classes in Sail Training Ship, Nippon Maru, it is essential to repair parts that have deteriorated due to aging and corroded parts that have deteriorated due to aging and corroded parts.
In view of Sail Training Ship, Nippon Maru's 100 years old and beyond, the Sail Training Ship, Nippon Maru Memorial Foundation, a designated manager, will raise donations through crowdfunding and carry out maintenance and repair of the hull.
