In the first half of 2023, the number of vessels entering the port reached 2,298, an increase of 13.4% year-on-year to 2,298 due to the convergence of the COVID-19 pandemic and the opening of new routes. The gross tonnage increased by 15.9% year-on-year to 61.74 million gross tons due to the progress in larger vessels.
Container cargo volume increased 6.0% year-on-year to 8.06 million tons due to an increase in exports of automobile-related cargoes.
Export cargo volumes of finished vehicles increased 8.4% year-on-year to 5.15 million tons, mainly due to the easing of the semiconductor shortage.
