This is the first time in Japan! Signed a memorandum of understanding to promote the use of green methanol at Yokohama Port.

Yokohama City has signed a memorandum of understanding with Marsk AS and Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Co., Ltd. to promote the use of green methanol as a next-generation bunkering in Yokohama Port, with the aim of decarbonizing international shipping, promoting international container strategic port policy, and forming carbon neutral ports at Yokohama Port.
Marsk AS, one of the world's leading comprehensive logistics company, Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Corporation, Japan's largest supplier of methanol, and Yokohama, which has a comprehensive port representing Japan, will collaborate on how to supply methanol and green methanol as vessel fuel, and with the cooperation of relevant government agencies.
