Yokohama Port, as an international container strategic port, Yokohama Port is working with ports, mainly in eastern Japan, to maintain and expand its core routes, and is actively working to collect cargo from domestic ports by domestic vessels. Due to this effect, the number of containers handled in domestic trade in 2022 was a record high of 350,000 TEU (Note).

(Headquarters: Shizuoka City), the coastal containership "Kiyoura Maru" (approximately 111.62m, maximum loading capacity of 402TEU), completed by Suzuyo Shipping Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shizuoka City), entered the port for the first time on November 2 and held a welcome ceremony.

The vessel will be the largest domestic containership containership operated by Suzuyo Shipping Co., Ltd., and will enter service on routes connecting Yokohama Port and Kobe Port. We expect the launch of this service to strengthen domestic container transport and improve services to the core route of Yokohama Port.

(Note) TEU: The number of containers converted at 20 feet
