CMA CGM Liberty, a container vessel "CMA CGM Liberty" (approximately 366 meters long, 51 meters wide, and maximum loading capacity of 14,806TEU*) from CMA CGM (France) has entered the port of Honmoku Futo D4 container terminal in Yokohama Port.
The vessel entered Yokohama Port as one of the three LNG-fueled containerships on ACSA1 route in Central and South America, and is classified as one of the largest containerships that have been ported at Honmoku Pier.
As part of its plan to respond to the increase in cargo imported from Central and South America, CMA CGM is also working to reduce the environmental impact by utilizing LNG-fuel containerships.
Yokohama Port has developed Honmoku Wharf A4 quay for the formation of an LNG bunkering (supply) base, and Eco-Banker Shipping Co., Ltd., which was established by Yokohama Kawasaki International Port Co., Ltd. and others.
Going forward, we will continue to accept ultra-large container vessels that use environmentally friendly fuels such as LNG.
(Note) TEU: The number of containers converted at 20 feet
