"World Drone Competition" will be held across Tokyo Bay.

Yokohama City is working to contribute to improving productivity and solving social issues using advanced technologies such as IoT and AI to contribute to improving productivity and solving social issues, and creating new business models by providing support for demonstration experiments through ICTOP Yokohama.
In FY2021, the ICTOP Yokohama supported a demonstration experiment of a longitudinal flight of Tokyo Bay using a Kite plane by the Advanced Robotics Foundation, conducted between Yokohama and Chiba (approximately 50 km).
The World Drone Competition (WDC), which utilizes knowledge of longitudinal flight in Tokyo Bay, will be held by the Advanced Robotics Foundation.
With Hakkeijima (Kanazawa Ward) as a departure and landing site, WDC will fly unland from Hakkeijima and Futtsu Minato Park (Futsu City, Chiba Prefecture) (about 32 km round trip) between Hakkeijima and Futtsu Minato Park (survivors, Chiba Prefecture) (about 32 km round trip).
The WDC venue and flight status will also be broadcast simultaneously in the venue of the 22nd International Federation of Automatic Controls (IFAC 2023) to be held in Pacifico-yokohama for the first time in 42 years.
