Yokohama City is committed to attracting and supporting startups that will play a leading role in the growth and development of the Yokohama economy. Between November 13 and 16 (Thu), 2023, Yokohama and JETRO Yokohama invited six mobility-related startups from Germany, India, Malaysia and the United States to Yokohama to conduct business matching for the establishment of future bases and collaboration and collaborations in Yokohama.
We supported the discovery of business partners by providing presentations and networking opportunities for participants at the Y-SHIP 2023 international convention held in Yokohama, the EdgeTech+ 2023 exhibition held in Yokohama, and individual business matching venues with local companies.
A total of 38 matches have been made, and negotiations for cooperation etc. are in progress. Yokohama City and JETRO Yokohama will continue to work together to follow up with overseas startups to enter Yokohama and create innovations in Yokohama.
