What is fire brigade?
fire brigade is one of the municipal fire departments stipulated in Article 9 of the Fire Service Organization Act, which usually has its main business, conducts firefighting activities in the event of a fire, rescue and rescue activities in the event of a large-scale disaster such as an earthquake or storm and flood damage, patrol patrols, evacuation guidance, and disaster prevention activities.
In normal times, it plays an important role in improving firefighting and disaster prevention capabilities in the region, such as training, guidance on the spread of first aid, patrol vigilance, and public relations activities.

About various systems
Yokohama City Student fire brigade Activity Certification System
The Student fire brigade Activity Certification System is a system promoted by the Fire and Disaster Management Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications so that university students who have been active as fire brigade members for more than a year are actively evaluated during job hunting.
Since January 2016, Yokohama City has been working on fire brigade activities while attending universities and other institutions, and has issued certificates to students who contribute to the local community.

Yokohama City fire brigade Cooperation Office Labeling System
This is a system in which a certificate is issued to business establishments that cooperate with the fire brigade activities to evaluate the social contribution of the cooperating business establishments. Specifically, we will encourage employees to join the fire brigade, strengthen cooperation and cooperation between fire brigade and business sites, and further enhance regional disaster prevention systems.
As of April 1, 2024, 171 business establishments have been registered.
