Introduction of Kohoku fire brigade
In 1947, the Fire Service Organization Law was enacted in fire brigade, and the Yokohama City fire brigade Ordinance was promulgated. On March 7, 1948, the Fire Service Organization Law was enacted, and the fire brigade moved to Yokohama City along withfire brigade Kohoku.fire brigade was born.
Subsequently, in October 1969,Kohoku Ward and Midori Ward were reorganized, and in November 1994, the current Kohoku fire brigadeMidori Ward was established.
In addition to disaster response, Kohoku fire brigade conducts various activities such as disaster response drills, lifesaving training such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and patrol patrols at local festivals to protect the safety and security of Kohoku Ward.

Sunday, September 8, 2024 "Kohoku fire brigade Wind and Flood Damage Prevention Training"
Venue: Kikuna Pond Park Pool (1-8-1 Kikuna, Kohoku-ku)
Contents: Water surface rescue activities, clothing swimming training, and rowing training were carried out.
Sunday, July 7, 2024 "Kohoku fire brigade Summer Training Session"
Venue: Transportation Bureau Niwa Depot (1-12-1 Kitashin Yokohama, Kohoku-ku)
Contents: Basic fire extinguishing training, training on handling of various equipment and materials, training ceremony by the fourth branch, application water transmission training, and simultaneous water discharge training were conducted.
Wednesday, June 26, 2024 "Large-scale customer attraction facility fire response joint training"
Venue: Nissan Stadium (3300 Kozuki-cho, Kohoku-ku)
Contents: Response training was conducted on the assumption of a fire, and initial response and activity guidelines were confirmed, and training was conducted to strengthen the cooperation system with related organizations.
May 26-June 23, 2024 “Kohoku fire brigade Branch Summer Training Session”
Venue: Each district in Kohoku Ward
Contents: From the 1st branch of the Kohoku fire brigade to the 7th branch, training was conducted based on the content and assumptions.

Foreigners can join fire brigade, Yokohama City.
1. Conditions for joining
(1) A person who has a "Resident Card" or "Special Permanent Resident Certificate"
(2) Those who have stayed at least two years and are willing to continue their activities in fire brigade for at least three years.
(3) A person who can accept that he / she cannot take a position of a group leader or higher
(4) A person who can obtain consent from the branch to which he/she will belong.
(5) A person who can accept that an activity that exercises public power * cannot be performed
(6) Those who can communicate in Japanese

Kohoku fire brigade Co., Ltd.
In September 2015, when I became a member of the Kohoku fire brigade, I started an initiative to receive drinks and discount services at the Kohoku fire brigade Cooperation Store. Mr. fire brigade will give you a fire brigade card with the motif of the blue happi coat of Kohoku fire brigade. To cooperating stores, we will distribute a blue happi coat sticker for attaching the store as a landmark.
The number of cooperating stores is 133, a member of the Kohoku Ward Shopping Street Federation (currently being updated).
