History of Konan fire brigade
In 1969, with population growth, Yokohama City reorganized 10 administrative districts into fourteen administrative districts, separated from Minami Ward to formKonan Ward. fire brigade was separated from the Ooka fire brigade, Yokohama, and the establishment of Konan fire brigade in Yokohama. At the time of its inception, he engaged in fire brigade activities to protect the lives, bodies, and property of approximately 96,000 Konan residents from disasters under the circumstances of one headquarters, five branches, five equipment storage units, five portable small-sized power pumps, and fire brigades. At that time, Konan Ward was in the process of development, and development in the areas of Shimonagaya, Kaminagaya, and Serigaya were actively carried out. On April 1, 1982, with the aim of strengthening the disaster prevention system in this area. In 1997, as of November 1, 2007, a female fire brigade member joined thefire brigadefire brigade as of November 1, 2007, the headquarters, six divisions, 22 equipment storage areas, 23 portable small power pumps, 18 portable small power pumps, 18 portable small-sized power pumps, and 266 people, including fire brigade chiefs, were reorganized in April 2008.
