Introduction of fire brigade Aoba

In accordance with the Yokohama fire brigade Ordinance, the fire brigade Kawawa was established on March 7, 1948 through the integration of Kawawa, Nakagawa, Yamauchi, Nakazato, Tana and Shinji.
Midori Ward was divided from Kohoku Ward on October 1, Kohoku Ward and Midori Ward on November 6, 1994, and Aoba Ward and Tsuzuki Ward   were reorganizfire brigade Aoba.
In August 1998, 25 female fire brigade members joined, and as of April 2024, there were 55 female members.
Aoba fire brigade has 25 equipment storage areas, 25 loading vehicles, 33 portable small power pumps, and fire brigade is engaged in fire and disaster prevention activities in the city day and night.
