Disaster prevention guidance and disaster prevention education
I will visit Neighborhood Association, the disaster drill of companies and schools to teach you the correct knowledge of disaster prevention and how to use fire extinguisher properly.
In addition, we will provide disaster prevention education according to life stages from kindergartens and nursery schools to the elderly.

Hose handling training
In the event of a fire, use a hose to carry water from a fire hydrant or fire tank to the fire site.
Fire fighting can be done safely and quickly by extending the hose cleanly and quickly.

Water discharge training
Water discharge activities necessary for fire extinguishing are carried out in a series of flows.
Using a machine called a portable pump, the pressure is raised to discharge water.

Tying training using ropes
Use ropes to fix and transport objects, and sometimes transport people.
You can learn how to tie properly according to the type and shape of things, and can be used in everyday life.

Driving training
We are improving the driving technology of fire brigade vehicles.
Wear accurate handle handling so that you can rush to the site as soon as possible.

Lifesaving training
Be able to take correct actions in the event of "what if", such as knowledge about first aid and lifesaving activities.
Learn first aid tailored to various ages, not only to adults, but also to infants and children.

Fire helicopter takeoff and landing training
Learn how to guide and accommodate fire helicopters.
When a major disaster occurs, we cooperate with a fire helicopter to protect the citizens by working accurately and smoothly.
The firefighting helicopter takeoff and landing training led by fire brigade was the first attempt in Yokohama.

Running water rescue training
Learn how to help people drowned in the river.
They actually use a variety of tools to help drowned people from the river.

Lifeboat handling training
Learn how to handle lifeboats in case of water accidents or storms and floods.
It is done in pools and actual rivers to acquire practical skills.

In November 1986, as a result of the reorganization of administrative districts, Izumi fire brigade was born from Totsuka Ward at the same time as the division.
In 1996, with the relocation of Izumi fire department to its current location, Izumi fire brigade headquarters was also established.
Izumi fire brigade began hiring female fire brigade employees in fiscal 1998, and many female fire brigade employees are active.
Currently, Izumi Ward residents are engaged in safety and fire prevention and disaster prevention activities day and night by placing 20 equipment storage areas, 20 loading vehicles, 25 portable small power pumps, and other equipment throughout Izumi Ward.
