It's fun! October 1 and 15 Walking and workshops around Nishi Ward Healthmate Water Supply Historic Sites

　In response to the growing interest in water caused by the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake, with the cooperation of Water Works Bureau, Nishi Ward Healthmate organized a walking workshop on Tuesday, October 1 and Tuesday, October 15.
　The walking on October 1 was held as part of the 60th anniversary project of the formation of a healthmate, with some general people participating and 22 people participating. The course is Hinodecho Station → Hinode Spring Water → Former Noge Reservoir → Buttocks → By visiting Fujidana Shopping Street, I was able to feel the charm of Nishi Ward again. At the former Noge-san Reservoir, we received special permission from Water Works Bureau and toured the underground that we could not normally enter, and felt the history of the Yokohama Channel. In addition, we heard that the Nogeyama pumping station has updated it to a new pump as a decarbonization initiative to reduce the carbon dioxide emitted.
　At the workshop on October 15, Water Works Bureau served as a lecturer and introduced the water supply business in Yokohama, the history of the Yokohama water supply, and preparations for a major earthquake. There was also an introduction to Water Works Bureau's support activities during the Noto Peninsula Earthquake that lasted about five months, and it was very interesting to learn how to prepare for daily stockpiling. It was impressive to see the participants listening eagerly.
