It's fun!　June 13 “Nishi Ward Self-Defense Fire Brigade Fire Fighting Exercise Technical Training Session” organized by the West Fire Prevention Association

　On Thursday, June 13, at the Seismic Bath in Minato Mirai 21 district, the Nishi Ward Self-Defense Fire Brigade Fire Fighting Exercise Technical Training Session was held, and 20 offices, including commercial facilities, office buildings, hotels and ward offices in the city, 28 squads participated.
　In the training session, each team competes on technology to operate indoor fire hydrants with a set of four people (sometimes two groups depending on the category) and quickly extinguish fires. In addition to speed (time), the accuracy of water discharge, the discipline of members, dignity and clothing were examined and competed. At each business site, the results of daily training were demonstrated, and a nervous battle was held.
　Indoor fire hydrant I “Water Lilies Sogo Dept. Store (Shin-Toshi Hall) Yokohama Self-Defense Fire Brigade”, indoor fire hydrant II “Landmark Plaza Shopping Center Headquarters Self-Defense Fire Brigade” and No. 2 fire hydrant “Yokohama Landmark Tower Self-Defense Fire Brigade A” won the highest awards in each category.
In addition, Nishi Ward Office also performed well in fifth place (excellent award) because staff formed teams across divisions and trained repeatedly. The best teams of indoor fire hydrants I and II will participate in the Yokohama Fire Fighting Maneuver Technical Training Session on October 17. I wish you all the best at Nishi Ward representative.
　I realized that daily training improved the disaster prevention capabilities of each business site, and that the safety and security of inhabitants of the ward and visitors would increase.
