[25th session] We visited the teacher's challenge course, multicultural fair @ Nakayama!

October 1, 2023

Last update date October 4, 2023

On Sunday, October 1, we visited "little teacher's challenge course" held in Midori Ward social movement support center "Midorimu".
"Slightly teachers" are those who are volunteering to use their abundant knowledge, experience, and special skills in the community, and have 55 courses registered. On this day, lectures on balloon art, sueden embroidery, magic tricks, bonito flakes experience, and Japanese instrument experience were held, and small children and parents participated.
I also jumped in and participated in several courses, but when I tried it, all of them were very difficult, and with the advice and help of the teacher, I was able to do it well.
I wanted many inhabitants of a ward to know the fun of making and experiencing something on my own.

Next, we toured the "Multicultural Fair @ Nakayama" held at the Nakayama District Center hosted by the Nakayama District Center and co-hosted by the Midori International Exchange Lounge. This is the first time that this event will be held.
At the gymnasium, a gorgeous fashion show of world folk costumes was held, and introductions and dances of each country were also performed. There were also many booths introducing various organizations related to multicultural coexistence and international cooperation.
In the cooking room, tasting of world cuisine was performed, and I had a local dish called Yassa in Senegal. Chicken and onions were fried on the rice, and it was a little acidity and very delicious.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the staff and volunteers who were involved in the operation of each event and event. I was very pleased to see that the local people cooperated to create a place for fun exchanges and liveliness, and to see the place where many participants gathered came back.
