Registration criteria for building drinking water quality inspection business

This is the site of Health Sanitation Division, Health and Safety Department, Yokohama City Public Health Center. We provide information on the hygiene of buildings.

Documents attached to the registration application
Please attach the following documents to the registration application form.
- If the applicant is a legal entity, a copy of the Articles of Incorporation and a certificate of registration or a copy of the donation and proof of registration (if the applicant is an individual, a copy of the resident certificate). If the business purpose is stated on the certificate of entry, the articles of incorporation or donation can be omitted.
- Overview of machinery and equipment*
- Information map of sales office, inspection room guide map and floor plan
- List of supervisors*
- Copy of diploma, etc. (In case of re-registering, omit the required items on the attached documents Confirmation Form.)
- Certificate of Practical Engagement

Method of conducting drinking water quality inspection
Please note the following when describing the method of conducting drinking water quality inspection work (Attachments 7-1, 7-2).
- The inspection method shall be described in accordance with the method specified by the Ministerial Ordinance on Water Quality Standards (Ordinance No. 101 of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare on May 30, 2003).
- Water quality inspections should be conducted promptly after sampling, and preservation methods should be described so that the water quality will not change if the sample must be stored.
- It must be stated that reagents and standard substances used for water quality inspection should be stored in a lockable storage.
- The method of organizing and cleaning the laboratory and the name of the person in charge of management must be described.
- Specify the response if the water quality inspection results are inappropriate.
- The procedure for preparing the water quality inspection result report must be clearly stated (it must be specified that two copies will be prepared and one copy will be stored for the owner for five years). In addition, from the viewpoint of personal information protection, it must be clearly stated in the procedure for preparing the work report that measures will be taken to prevent leakage of personal information based on personal information protection guidelines, etc. as necessary.
- The method of storing the water quality inspection result report and the name of the person in charge of preservation must be specified. It must be stated that the water quality inspection results should be kept for 5 years.
- The method of inspection of machinery and equipment and the method of storing these records must be described.
- The form of the inspection report must be attached.
- There must be a column to describe the name of the person who conducted the water quality inspection.
- There must be a description of the standards for outsourcing, and the notification of the outsourcing contents to the inspection requester, the method of grasping the work of the contractor, etc. must be specified.
- There must be a description of the system for complaints and emergency communications.

- The quantity of machinery and equipment shall be appropriate for the number of employees.
- It must be occupied over a long period of time and can be used freely.
