Goals of District Planning This area faces Motomachi Street, one of Yokohama's typical commercial areas, and the Motomachi Riverside Street (hereinafter referred to as "Kawagishi Dori") along the Horikawa River parallel to Motomachi Street.
In this area, the number of visitors is expected to increase further due to the opening of the Urban Expressway Minato Mirai 21 Line, and the location of various commercial facilities is underway.
Under these circumstances, this district plan establishes the principles of use and form for buildings constructed facing Motomachi Street and Kawagishi Dori. The goal is to create an attractive cityscape that harmonizes as a whole, and to promote safe, comfortable and dignified city planning.
Land Use Policy In order to realize the goals of the city planning, the land use policy is determined as follows.
In order to create an attractive and vibrant commercial environment, stores and restaurants will be guided on the lower floor of the building facing Motomachi Street.
Policy of maintenance such as buildings In order to realize the cityscape targeted by this district, we will establish restrictions on the use of necessary buildings, restrictions on forms such as buildings or design, and guide the use of buildings as follows.
  1. The first floor of the building will be used for stores, restaurants, etc. facing Motomachi Street and bring liveliness to the cityscape.
  2. In order to create a town that will continue to live for a long time, the concentration of one-room apartments, and houses shall be aimed at settlement in principle.

  4. Karaoke boxes and other similar items
  5. Warehouses engaged in warehousing
  6. Items to be used for storage or treatment of dangerous goods (excluding those used for their own use)
  7. Cabarets, restaurants, nightclubs, dance halls and the like.

Restrictions on the form or design of buildings The roofs, outer walls and other parts seen from the outside, and outdoor advertising materials shall be considered in color or decoration in order to maintain aesthetics.
