Targets of District Planning The district faces Motomachi Street, one of Yokohama's most prominent commercial areas, and the Motomachi River Bank Line (Kawagishi Dori) along the Horikawa River along the Motomachi Street.
In this area, the opening of the Urban Expressway Minato Mirai 21 Line is expected to further increase the number of visitors, and the location of various commercial facilities is also underway.
Under these circumstances, the District Plan aims to create an attractive cityscape that coexists with commerce and residence in conjunction with community development by establishing the principles of use and form for buildings to be constructed facing Motomachi Street and Kawagishi Dori, and to promote safe and comfortable and dignified urban development.
Land Use Policy In order to achieve the goals of the city planning, the land use policy is determined as follows.
In order to create an attractive and bustling commercial environment, the area facing Motomachi Street on the lower floors of the building will guide the location of stores and restaurants.
Policy for maintenance of buildings, etc. In order to realize the target cityscape of this district, we will determine the necessary restrictions on the use of buildings, restrictions on forms or designs such as buildings, and guide the use of buildings as follows.
  1. The first floor of the building will be used for stores, restaurants, and other facilities facing Motomachi Street.
  2. In order to make it a town that will continue to live for a long time, one-room apartments will be concentrated, and the housing will be intended to settle in principle.

Restrictions on forms or designs of buildings, etc. The roof of the building, the outer wall, and other parts viewed from the outside, and outdoor advertising materials shall be considered for colors or decorations in order to maintain good aesthetics.
