Preparation for prevention of damage to pipe houses, etc. associated with snowfall forecast

Last Updated February 5, 2024

Although the amount of snowfall is small in Yokohama, heavy snow has caused enormous damage in the past due to heavy snowfall that greatly exceeds expectations. I think that sufficient measures have been taken, but we would like you to collect weather information frequently and check the measures and responses during snowfall.
Please make efforts to prevent secondary disaster by giving top priority to human life.

Pre-inspection and countermeasures

Measures on the day

  • The house should operate the heater at the beginning of the snowfall. Curtains are open and heated continuously. Pay attention to the snow melting water that subsides the foundation. (Discard the film around the foundation to prevent water from entering.)
  • Please remove the snow within the range of safety. Remove snow evenly on the left and right.

Records of agricultural damage (photographing, etc.)

If severe agricultural damage occurs due to a weather disaster that exceeds expectations, a support project for affected farmers may be activated. In that case, you will need a photo showing the status of the facility before the disaster and a photo showing the status of the disaster after the disaster. Please record the state of the facility before the disaster.

  1. Please be sure to know the date of shooting.
    • Confirm that the date setting of the digital camera etc. is set correctly, and if it is misaligned, correct the date and time.
    • In the case of a digital camera with a date writing function, set it so that it can be copied to the image.
    • If there is no date writing function, the first photo should be photographed with the date printing part of the newspaper and the drawing paper with the date.
  2. Please photograph the entire view of the affected facilities and agricultural machinery (overall photo) and the specific location of the damage. (Note: within the scope of safety)
    • Please also take photos that contain comparison objects such as people so that you can see the overall sense of scale.
    • If the whole view does not fit and becomes a continuous photo (joint photo), make sure that the overlapping position can be understood.
  3. When shooting a specific location of the damage, (1) shooting in a distant view so that you can see where the damage location is located, and (2) a near view with a measure or nogis so that the size can be understood Please take a picture as a set.
    • When shooting a near-field, pay attention to the focus of focus so that the numbers can be readable.
