Yokohama Challenge Farmer Training

"I want to work from a profession other than agriculture"-Support citizens aiming for new agriculture-
In Yokohama City, we conduct "Yokohama Challenge Farmer Training" to support citizens aiming for new employment as occupations other than agriculture.
If you take the agricultural training (Yokohama Challenge Farmer Training) conducted by Yokohama City and become a “certified new farmer”, you can rent farmland and start farming.
Overview of Training

2 years
[Training contents]
1 Attendance of citizen's agriculture university course (the number of training sessions may be changed)
（1） 35 training sessions in Environmental Activity Support Center
（2） Farmer training 10 times
2 On-site training for open-field cultivation in Environmental Activity Support Center field 50 days or more each year
