Notification of transfer at the counter (moving out of the city)

It is procedure at window when we move from Yokohama city to municipalities outside the city. We accept at ward office Family Registry Division Registration Section before moving. (You can't apply at the City Hall / Administrative Service Corner.)

In the case of moving out of the city, you can complete the procedure without visiting the ward office.

Online procedures

If you have a My Number card, you can use the online procedure using the minor portal. In the online procedure, you can omit the written transfer certificate. For more information, please refer to the following website.

Mailing Procedure

Notification by mail is also possible. The procedure changes depending on the presence or absence of a My Number Card or Basic Resident Register Card.

Person who does report (apply), person who can do it

  • The person himself / herself
  • Head of household or person and member of same household
  • proxy/agent (a person who has a power of attorney from the person or a person in the same household)

Precautions

Even though Address is the same, those who have different households need a power of attorney.

    1.Notification of Change of Residents

    2.Identification documents of the person coming to the counter

    • Driver's license
    • Passport (passport)
    • My Number Card (Personal Number Card) or Basic Resident Register Card with Photo
    • Residence Card, Special Permanent Resident Certificate, etc.

    4.(in the case of proxy/agent requested by the person or the person in same household) Power of Attorney

    5.(People who have been granted) National Health Insurance Card, Medical Certificate, pension Notebook, etc.

    Precautions

    Preschool children are required to apply for elementary and junior high schools. In addition, please refer to ward office of ward where you live for the details.

    Precautions

    • You cannot submit a transfer notice at the city hall, administrative service corner, or other ward offices.

    • In Yokohama City, even those who have been notified of the transfer notice at the Minor Portal are also requested to fill out the resident transfer registration form provided at the ward office Family Registry Division window and issue a number tag using the ticketing machine.
