Notification of transfer by mail of person having my number card, Basic Resident Register card (moving out of the city)

It is report of mail when person having my number card, Basic Resident Register card moves from Yokohama-shi to municipalities outside the city.

Eligible persons for this notification

  • People who move out of the city
  • Within 14 days from the date of moving (and within 30 days from the scheduled moving date)
  • Person who has my number card or Basic Resident Register card
  • Notification by mail

  2. Those who move out together in same household with 1
  3. Optional proxy/agent with power of attorney from 1 or 2

Even if Address is the same, people with different households need a power of attorney.

    In the following cases, you cannot submit a transfer notification using your My Number Card or Basic Resident Register Card. Please submit a transfer notice at the ward office Family Registry Division before moving.

    • If 14 days have passed since the date of moving
    • If 30 days have passed since the scheduled move date

    Flow of procedures after mailing

    1. After the transfer notification process is completed, the ward office Family Registry Division will contact you by phone.
    2. After receiving the notification, please bring your card and submit a transfer notice at the municipal office where you are moving.

    Notes

    • If you submit a transfer notice by mail, you will need to process the transfer notice at the ward office Family Registry Division, so it will take several days for you to be able to submit the transfer notice at the municipal office where you are moving. Please report with plenty of time.
    • Please be sure to include the contact information that can be reached during the day. (If the contact information described in the notification is different from the daytime contact information, please indicate each.)
    • If you receive the mailed transfer notice after 14 days from the date of moving, a separate copy of your identity verification document and a reply envelope will be mailed to issue a certificate equivalent to a written transfer certificate. I will guide you to that.
    • If the transfer is canceled, you will need to cancel the transfer notice at the ward office of your ward.
    • If you submit a transfer notification using a card, you will need to enter your PIN on the card when submitting a transfer notification at the municipal office where you are moving.
    • If you forget your PIN on the card, or if you cannot enter the 4-digit PIN on the card at the municipal office where you are moving and lock it, you will not be able to read the information on the IC chip, You need to apply for a PIN reset at the municipal office.
