Notification of transfer by mail of person who does not have my number card, Basic Resident Register card (moving outside the city)

It is report by mail when person who does not have my number card, Basic Resident Register card moves from Yokohama city to municipalities outside the city.

Notes

Even if Address is the same, people with different households need a power of attorney.

Before moving or within 14 days from the date of moving

    Period for notification

    After receiving the notification at the ward office Family Registry Division, usually about 10 days before the transfer certificate arrives.

    Please fill in the reply address ("Address up to now" or "Address in the future") and attach a stamp.

    Please mail it to the ward office Family Registry Division before moving.

    Flow of Procedure

    1. required documents will be mailed to the ward office Family Registry Division in Address (Yokohama) before moving.
    2. We will mail a transfer certificate (documents required for moving in at the municipal office after moving) from the ward Family Registry Division.
    3. Bring your required documents, including a transfer certificate, and submit a transfer notification at the municipal office where you are moving. For required documents, etc., please check with the municipalities to which you are moving.

    Notes

    • If you have not completed the transfer notification process at the ward office Family Registry Division before moving, you will not be able to submit a transfer notification at the municipal office where you are moving.
    • If you submit a transfer notice by mail, you will need to process the transfer notice at the ward office Family Registry Division, so it will take several days for you to be able to submit the transfer notice at the municipal office where you are moving. Please report with plenty of time.
    • If the transfer is canceled, you will need to cancel the transfer notice at the ward office of your ward.
