Waste and Resources
In January 2024, Yokohama City formulated the municipal solid waste treatment basic plan "Yokohama Pra 5.3 (garbage) Plan," following the Yokohama 3R Dream Plan. Under this plan, citizens, businesses and governments will work together to focus on plastic measures and reduce food loss, thereby reducing the amount of plastic waste contained in the burnable garbage and continuing to reduce the total amount of waste and resources. At the same time, in Konan Ward, we are promoting the creation of a clean city through support for river cleanup and local beautification activities.
