Waste and Resources
In January 2024, Yokohama City formulated the Yokohama Pra 5.3 (garbage) plan, a general waste treatment basic plan following the Yokohama 3R Dream Plan. In this plan, citizens, businesses and governments will focus on plastic measures and food loss reduction, and will continue to reduce plastic waste contained in the burnable garbage and continue to reduce the total amount of waste and resources. At the same time, in addition to the stable collection and transportation of garbage, Konan Ward is also promoting the creation of clean towns through support for river cleanups and beautification activities.
