How to put out personal computers (about handling of home PCs)

PCs (main unit / display) that are no longer needed at home are required by the Act on Promotion of Effective Utilization of Resources (outside site) to voluntarily collect and recycle by manufacturers.
Manufacturers collect PCs (main unit / display) with the PC recycling mark free of charge.
PCs that do not have a duty to collect them, such as self-made PCs and PCs from overseas manufacturers who have withdrawn from Japan, are also subject to recycling.
The Personal Computer 3R Promotion Association collects it.
In addition, the Small Home Appliance Recycling Law (outside site) was enforced in 2013, and from May 1, 2016, in Yokohama City, collection of personal computers as small home appliance recycling was started.
In addition, small home appliance recycling certified businesses (private companies) also collect personal computers.
