How to put out cans, bottles, and PET bottles


Collected once a week
(Please check with the sticker of the accumulation area.)

Collected in cans, bottles, and PET bottles

Cans and glass bottles containing food and drinks (including medications)
Plastic bottles with Material display mark for PET bottlesa mark that contains drinks (soft drinks, juices, mineral water, etc.), soy sauce, sake, mirin, etc.

Separated cans, bottles, and PET bottles are recycled as materials for making new aluminum cans, bottles, and PET bottles.

●Put the cans, bottles, and plastic bottles together in a transparent or translucent bag where the contents can be clearly confirmed.
※Do not put "cans, bottles, plastic bottles" and "small metal" in the same bag.

CautionAccidents have occurred in which workers at the sorting facility are injured due to the contamination of injection needles and spray cans.
Medical equipment such as injection needles should be sent to a medical institution or pharmacy, and use up the contents of spray cans, and put only the spray cans in a transparent or opaque bag on the same day as burnable garbage. ※About accident that occurred in sorting facility (PDF: 397KB)
※Products that must be collected and recycled by manufacturers and distributors are also collected at dealers and other locations.

How to put out cans and bottles
  1. Remove the cap.
    →Metal caps go to "small metal" and plastic caps go to "plastic containers and packaging".
  2. Empty the inside and wash.
  3. Cans with a large mouth crushes their mouths and nothing inside.
  4. Remove the inner pigs such as a tea bottle. (Please remove the inner lids and labels that are difficult to remove.)
  5. Put it in a translucent bag with a plastic bottle.

Items not covered byCautionExcept for cans and bottles containing food and drinks are not eligible. Please put tea bowls, teacups, heat-resistant glass (such as baby bottles), cosmetic bottles, fruit wine bottles (such as pickling plum wine), fluorescent lamp, and light bulbs should be put out in "non-burnable garbage" and spray cans.
CautionMedical equipment such as injection needles and tubes should be sent to medical institutions or pharmacies, and when burnable garbage should be placed in a hard container with visible contents.

  • Empty the inside and wash.

What is the Containers and Packaging Recycling Law?
