From the day after the announcement date (or notification date) to the day before the election date

１） Request a ballot from the Election Commission of the ward registered in the electoral list.
※We submit "invoice and oath" to ward Election Administration Committee by bringing or mail.
Be careful! Faxes and e-mails cannot be used to submit invoices to the Ward Election Commission and exchange ballot papers, so please proceed as soon as possible.

２） In addition to ballot papers and voting envelopes (outer and inner envelopes), you will receive an absentee vote certificate.
３） From the day after the announcement date (notification date), bring the necessary documents for voting to the municipal election committee of the place of stay, etc.
※Please bring the envelope containing the absentee vote certificate without opening it.
※Please do not write the candidate's name on the ballot in advance.
４） Absentee voting will be performed at the voting location of the nearest municipal election committee.

The place and date and time for absentee voting vary depending on the municipality, so be sure to contact the Election Commission of your accommodation.

About absentee vote of one staying in Yokohama-shi for work or trip, it becomes vote in Election Administration Committee of each ward.
※Please note that voting cannot be accepted at the Yokohama City Election Commission.
