Voting in municipalities not registered in the electoral list

Period during which absentee voting can be done

From the day after the announcement date (or notification date) to the day before the election date

１） We request ballot paper from Election Administration Committee of ward registered in electoral list.
※We submit "bill and oath" to ward Election Administration Committee by bringing or mail.
Be careful! FAX and e-mail cannot be used for submitting invoices to the Ward Election Commission and exchanging ballot papers, so please be sure to file as soon as possible.

２） In addition to ballot papers and voting envelopes (outer envelope, inner envelopes), you will receive an absentee voting certificate.
３） From the day after the announcement date (notification date), bring the necessary documents for voting and go to the municipal election committee such as the place of stay.
※Please bring the envelope containing the absentee vote certificate without opening it.
※Please do not list the candidate's name on the ballot in advance.
４） We perform absentee vote at vote entry place of the nearest municipal election committee.

The place and date of absentee voting vary depending on the municipality, so be sure to contact the Election Commission of your accommodation.

About absentee vote of one staying in Yokohama-shi for work or trip, it becomes vote in Election Administration Committee of each ward.
※Please note that you will not be able to accept votes in the Yokohama Election Commission.
