[Absentee Voting] Those who are hospitalized or admitted to hospitals, nursing homes, etc.
Last Updated October 11, 2024
Absentee voting can be done at hospitals, hospitals, nursing homes, etc.
If a hospital or nursing home that is hospitalized (admission) has been designated as an "absentee voting designated facility" by the Prefectural Election Commission, you can vote for absentees in that facility.
Ask the person in charge of each facility about whether the facility currently hospitalized (admission) is a facility where absentee voting can be performed and the specific procedures for absentee voting.
Procedures
(Limited to facilities designated by the Election Commission of the prefecture)
- Request a ballot from the head of the facility (absentee voting manager).
- The head of the facility (absentee voting manager) requests ballot papers, etc. on behalf of the Election Commission of the municipality to which the elector belongs.
- The Election Commission will issue ballots for electors to the head of the facility (absentee voting manager).
- From the day after the announcement date (notification date), the elector will vote under the control of the head of the facility (absentee voting manager).
- The head of the facility (absentee voting manager) sends the voted ballots to the Election Commission to which the elector belongs.
※Electors themselves can also request ballots from the Election Commission to which the elector belongs.
