~ The impact of the spread of COVID-19 is limited to a small extent~
As the spread of COVID-19 continues to prolong, Yokohama Port is playing an important role in supporting people's social life as a social infrastructure indispensable for logistics functions.
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the decrease in container handling at Yokohama Port in the first half of the year was only about 10% even during the COVID-19 pandemic. In automobile-related cargo, which is the main export cultivar, decreased due to factors such as production adjustments at factories, but container cargo imports increased due to demand for daily necessities. In the future, with the revitalization of social activities, signs of recovery are expected to gradually emerge.
