The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism handles 99.6% of Japan's imports and exports, and has decided to contribute to the realization of a decarbonized society as a whole by forming a "carbon neutral port (CNP)" through the enhancement of port functions that take into account decarbonization, etc.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Yokohama City, and Kawasaki City collaborate to examine the demand and utilization measures of next-generation energy, the scale and arrangement of port facilities, etc. for the formation of CNP, with the participation of academics and private businesses, etc. The first Yokohama Port / Kawasaki Port CNP Study Group will be held as follows (co-hosted by Yokohama City, Kawasaki City, and the Kanto Regional Development Bureau).
