Yokohama Port Minami-Honmaki Pier MC4 Container Terminal is a continuous berth with MC3, a high-standard container terminal with the largest water depth in Japan with a depth of 18 m and a length of 900 m that can handle the world's largest containership ship.
The MSC ISABELLA (400m long, 61m wide, 61m wide, maximum loading capacity of 23,656TEU), will enter MC3-4 on March 14, 2021 (Sun). This vessel will be the largest container vessel ever to call Japan. The largest so far is the MSC ELOANE (maximum loading: 19,462TEU), which was called at Yokohama Port in March 2019.
The MC4 container terminal is scheduled to be put into service on April 1.
