Yokohama City, in cooperation with Rakuten Co., Ltd. and Rakuten Payment Co., Ltd., will work to revitalize shopping streets utilizing IT technology.

In Yokohama City, the theme-type co-creation front desk aims to support the revitalization of shopping streets that are the foundation of local life and support citizens' lives as the core of local communities while preventing the spread of COVID-19 infection. We are looking for proposals from private businesses.
As efforts for “new lifestyles” such as the use of electronic payments in shopping and the implementation of take-out delivery of restaurants are attracting attention, Rakuten Co., Ltd. and Rakuten Payment Co., Ltd. have made use of IT technology. We had suggestion of approach about activation of malls.
Yokohama City has concluded a cooperation agreement with Rakuten Co., Ltd. and Rakuten Payment Co., Ltd. on "Creating bustle such as shopping streets through next-generation services utilizing IT technology", and in the future, aiming to revitalize shopping streets, etc. We will work together in cooperation.
