In July 2020, Yokohama City was selected as a "Global Base City" as a member of the Startup Ecosystem Tokyo Consortium for the "Global Base City" by the government (Cabinet Office). Accelerators (Techstars Central, LLC, WiL, LLC) will implement an acceleration program for startups in "global base cities" with the aim of creating footholds and investment opportunities for overseas expansion.
From Yokohama City, three of the companies that support the YOXO Accelerator Program 2019 are eligible for this program.
